Hydrosols, also known as hydrolats, floral waters, and aromatic waters, are crafted by the steam or hydro-distillation of fresh plant materials: flowers, fruits, leaves, barks, roots. Through this alchemical process of separation and purification, a union of the elements incite a coalescence between the volatile soul, sulfur, or essential oil of the plant material, its soluble constituents, and the sacred element of water.

Putressence Hydrosols are steam distilled in small batches with fresh plant materials, locally harvested throughout the seasons. Hydrosols retain a similar aroma to their essential oil counterparts, are more gentle and ecologically sustainable, and most are skin-safe and may be used topically for their various medicinal properties and magical attributes. Hydrosols have an average shelf life of 12 to 24 months, and should be stored in a cool, dark location.
